They are your regular customers not because you give them a "good deal" but because you give them a good product and good service. What it isn't, is YOUR generation - many of whom just sit on their ass and float through life happy to let someone else work. In fact, it's the retirees on a fixed income who are filling a lot of those jobs because they can't make ends meet thanks to inflation. We have a "worker" problem and it isn't because all these people magically "retired". You know, those jobs that were lost and literally no one is going back to? That number is a lie - thanks the Obama Administration who changed the definition, much like the Biden Administration changing the definition of "recession".įace it, we don't have a "job" problem. Unemployment 3.5% LOL!!! Is that BEFORE or after the job we haven't recovered since the scamdemic? They just don’t want to work for shit wages when they can get another entry level job that pays an additional 35%.Įveryone has staffing shortages, it's not limited to Domino's. It’s not that people are lazy and don’t want to work. tell me about how people like us who want to do our best for the customer are the reason dominos (specifically dominos) has staffing shortages. And we’ve continued to grow the stores income over the last couple years by around 25% total. But we do have the highest C-sat score in the company of 100 plus stores. Are we the highest grossing store in our franchise of 100 plus locations? No. They choose dominos because there is nowhere else you can feed 4 people for $17. There are at least 5 options for that in my city. The masses could pay for overpriced low quality pizza anywhere. In our store there is a culture of putting the customer first and part of that is saving them money. Hell, part of our paychecks go to indirectly subsidizing the pay for their workers because they refuse to pay a living wage.ĭoing your best to keep regulars is lazy now? Money is everyone’s bottom line. How much day-to-day work do you think somebody like Bezos, Gates, Musk, or so on actually do? I acknowledge that at least a few of them put in the hard work when they were younger, but now they don't and they profit off the lives of their employees and our society. However I don't think we should have to spend 50-60 years of our lives working just to be able to occasionally have fun. I shall reiterate my earlier point, I do work for what I have, and work can be a good thing.Tell me the last time a company, especially a mega company like Dominos (and some franchises) did something kind for you. We got as far as we have by helping each other out. Actually, you could argue that's part of what human society is.Yes some work is required and that's good, but my entire life shouldn't have to revolve around work. However, I also don't want to spend my entire life working just so I can occasionally enjoy myself.
